Recipe: Baked Chicken
Set the oven at 375. While that heats up....
1 whole chicken (this one was 5lb), thawed...
2tbs oregano
2tbs thyme
2tsp garlic
1/2 stick of butter
put the spices and butter in a small dish, microwave until the butter melts
take out anything unwanted inside the chicken (giblets etc)
pour half the mixture over the chicken, making sure to spread butter and spices over the whole surface
pour the rest of the mixture inside the chicken, coating that area as best you can. Make more butter/spice mix if needed.
Place the chicken in a baking pan. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 until it's cooked all the way through. I usuallly go for 20 minutes per pound of whole, thawed chicken. If you like crispy skin, cook uncovered at 450 for the last 20 minutes.
That's it. Very easy. All you need is time.
