Seriously, I think I just broke my toe. Maybe toes.
Channelling Shawn's incident with Dixie the cat, I stepped over Jet the dog. Large black doberman is next to my husband's large black shoe, which I don't see because it's dark and blends with the dog. Stepped into the back of the shoe which rolled over trapping half of my toes inside. Heard a little popping/cracking sound. My pinky toe seems fine but toes 3&4 hurt just sitting there and hurt a lot when I stand. I can flex the toes without pain but I can't curl them up. Seems to be centered in the last joint. Either way they are definitely too sore to ride or run today, that's for sure.
AHHHHHHHHHH! I JUST GOT BACK TO RUNNING!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
And I ran into one of the guys who normally places top 3 in the local sprints. He offered to ride with me this morning and possibly start training with me on his easy days. Only I can't bear to put on my cycling shoe. AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I have a 2 day contract to stand on a bridge all day looking for manatees. I leave in 6 hours. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Maybe I'll luck out and I just jammed it up pretty bad. On the plus side, my swimming is about to make a massive come back.
